How Long Until Our November 2008 Stated????

High Priest's Corner of the Triangle
Companions, we had 15 members and visitors come out and enjoy a wonderful lasagna dinner at our last stated, thanks to REx Randy and Ms. Donna Johnson. I believe we got off to a great start, and as rusty as I was, we still managed to survive the evening. Thanks to our outgoing DDHP, REx Bruce Van Buren, and visiting Ex Sebastian "Pete" DePetrio for assisting us in the chairs. Now a bit about participation: With our current membership, if you subtract those who reside outside the Hampton Roads area, we should have 78 members available to attend our meetings. Last night, we had nine. That's greater than ten percent; however I believe we can beat that level if we try. I will strive to communicate better and challenge you to help out with our companions who need prompting.
On Thursday 5 November (NOT 30 November), at 6:00 PM, we will meet at our Chapter and travel to the home of one of our elderly members, to present him with at 50 year recognition pin. If you are able, please accompany us to make this a memorable occasion for our Companion.
Please make every effort to attend our next stated, scheduled for Thursday, 13 November! We move to the second Thursday in November and December according to our by-laws. Some of our officers will not be able to attend and I'm concerned about having enough to open. For those who can support, come hungry - we will be serving 'Turkey Roll-ups' with other fixin's to get us on the Thanksgiving mood.
Please remember our King, Ex Morris White and our friend, Ex Ron Watkins in your thoughts and prayers as both are having medical problems.
Finally, we will be balloting on a petition at our November Stated. Appreciate the support and encouraging words. I'm happy with our start - so come on out to your Chapter and let's get back into the degree work once again. Thanks.
Fraternally,
L. Reese HP G/B #82

ALERT 1:
Remember, Your Grand Chapter for 2008 is the weekend of the 14th of November. We hope to see a "SEA" of Red Coats that are from Great Bridge there.
ALERT 2:
Stated meetings are in appropriate dress. What does this mean? A warm companion surrounded by whatever he feels comfortable in! REMEMBER, it is the inner and not the outer man that Masonry Regards!
ALERT 3:
We are continuing our method of feeding the hungry masses. Look below for the Family Sign-up list to support our dinners each month. If you can support the chapter by getting together with one or more families "catering" the dinner for all, notify the High Priest @ 436-0453. As you can see below, our MAINSTAYS Randy and Donna have taken the first slot and our new High Priest has taken the Second, but ALL of the remaining months are OPEN, so if you want to help, let The High Priest know. When everybody pitches in it becomes an easy event for all!
